Cottage tapestry

For this backyard design, I created two distinct outdoor rooms.  Adjacent to the house, a deck leads onto the cobblestone patio which will eventually be shaded by a grove of paperbark maples.  A small water feature adds the soothing sound of water.  From there, a flagstone path leads to a second patio in stone.  My client is an avid gardener, so we filled the plantings with flowering trees, shrubs, and perennials that would thrive on her site.
