Kapa Landscape Design

PROCESS

You will be closely involved throughout the design process. As we work together, I guarantee that you will get more and more excited about the prospects for your landscape. You will enjoy every part of the process.

Initial Design Meeting

Our initial meeting will be at your home. I’ll show you my portfolio so you can see my work. Then, together, we’ll begin to clarify your ideas – how you plan to use the space, what styles appeal to you, what plants you love, what kind of hardscape features you like, how much maintenance is optimum for you. With your ideas in mind, I will develop a proposal outlining the project, my services and fees.

Assessment of the Site and Client Needs

Once we have agreed on the proposal, we’ll discuss your project further, and I’ll begin refining ideas for your landscape. Your site will be measured in order to create a scaled basemap. (If you already have an accurate basemap, all the better.) Your next review meeting is scheduled.

Preliminary /Conceptual Plans (First Draft)

Next, I develop a preliminary draft, often including several options. At our review meeting, you’ll see the ideas on paper, and begin to visualize the completed landscape. We’ll fine-tune the plan, and a final design will emerge.

Final Plans

Your plans are finalized and we have another review meeting. At this meeting, we will go over the plan in depth and I will also supply you with names of contractors qualified to implement your project. Your complete satisfaction is my goal.
